We concentrated our journey on the harder sections of the Mo Chhu before we headed off for our first descent. We spent 2 days hiking up the Po Chhu. The hike up this beautiful valley offered us scant views of the river, but what we saw through the jungle and from 1000 feet up,was achieveable, beautiful, whitewater.
We were fortunate to met the funniest man in Bhutan, Mindu, who entertained us whilst we awaited the ponies and gear and porters carrying our boats.. He also showed us evidence of local cats "Zee" prints (leopard) and macheted our way through the tree's for us to the put in. An invaluable member of the team.
