The Ride
Nothing can prepare you for the thrill of this unique and exhilarating ride. We take you to Almond boat dock (just five minutes away) where you board the boat which takes you out on scenic Lake Fontana. With the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as your backdrop the ride is fun for all ages. These boats are extremely maneuverable and can spin within their own length. We take a series of digital photos in case you want a souvenir or a CD to use in a photo story or to share with others your great experience.Allow a total time of one hour – you are on the water about 35-40 minutes. .

Forney Creek Hike and Ride – Most Popular Combo
Transported from our office to the end of the “Road to Nowhere” in Bryson City, we begin our 4-mile hike (shorter hike is available) by walking through a tunnel! We then continue though some of the best forest the Great Smoky Mountains Park offers – with towering poplars, majestic oaks, and abundant rhododendron. We stop periodically to rest, have snacks and learn about the park and its incredible diversity of plants and animals. And the end of the hike we are at Forney Creek and the lake where we have our lunch and can go for a swim before the jet boat picks us up for the thrill ride back. Lunch is normally chicken on croissants or vegetarian if preferred. Reservations at least 24 hours before are necessary. Starting time is usually 10:00 am but we can arrange the trip according to your needs. Experience it all – hiking, history, picnicking, swimming and fantastic jet boat ride.Trip includes round trip transportation from out office, guided hike, lunch, snacks, refreshments. Many who experience our combination trip remark that it was the highlight of their vacation to the area.

Goldmine Loop
We offer a shorter hike alternative for the combination trip. This 45-minute walk in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park will take you by the remains of an old homestead – and then it’s on to the lake for lunch and time for a swim before the jet boat picks us up for the exciting ride across the lake.

”What about a combo without a hike? Ride the jetboat to beautiful Forney Creek in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Time for a brief walk and swim. Snack and drink included. Allow 2 hours (9 to 11 am). $60 for adults, $50 for children (12 and under) and Seniors and groups $55 per person.
Fontana Dam, Jetboat Ride
We can customize a jet boat ride trip to the Fontana Dam (highest dam east of the Rockies at 480 ft.).
The trip to the dam can be arranged for an 8:30 am to 10:30 am time frame. The cost is $450 and includes drinks, snacks and time for a quick swim.
