All our boats are driven by Coast Guard Licensed Captains and go through an extensive on the water training program.   The boats are meticulously maintained to the highest standards ensuring that your ride is safe.

Founded in 2001 the company took advantage of expertise in New Zealand (where Maria is from).   We have teamed up with some of the best drivers, builders and designers of Jet Boats in the world.

In 2005 Smoky Mountain Jetboat Building was formed. We have Coast Guard Approved Designs for 12-passenger aluminum boats and have more designs on the drawing board.. We build Jet boats and provide training and maintenance procedures with the sale of these unique vessels. Be one of the first to operate your own jet boat riding business or have the boat for your personal use. .

Hamilton Water Jet History

Sir William Hamiton grew up on the South Island of New Zealand on a sheep station.   The broad glaciated rivers of the Cantebury Plain peaked his interest in trying to create a boat that could travel in the shallow fast moving rivers.   After seeing a Hanley Hydrojet Centrifugal water pump in a Popular Mechanics Magazine, Hamilton designed his first unit called the Quinnat.   This noisy unit was quickly replaced in 1956 with the "Rainbow."   1957 brought the development of the axial-flow Chinook unit , the precursor to modern Hamilton units.  With the introduction of the Colorado series, the price of production was reduced 50%. 1970 brought the "work jet," which involved larger heavy -duty diesel engines to power the unit.   These were the precursor to the Hamilton HM series waterjets.   CWF Hamilton is constantly improving models. Check out www.Hamjet.co.nz for more information.
