Smoky Mountain Jet Boats and Smoky Mountain Jetboats Building are based in based in Bryson City, North Carolina.
Nick Williams
is a Captain, President and Manager of Operations. His wife Maria Noakes is the Graphic artist – designing the website, color scheme and brochures. Claudine Dervaes is Office Manager as well as a captain. John Hunter and Claudine Dervaes guide the hikes as well as staff the office. Lincoln Williams is also office staff. There may be other part-time staff during the summer season. Captains that go through an extensive on-the-water training program and the boats are meticulously maintained to the highest standards ensuring that your ride is safe.
The company was founded in 2001. The boats are New Zealand style jetboats – the best designers of Jet Boats in the world. In 2005 Smoky Mountain Jetboat Building was formed. We build recreational and commercial jetboats (12 and 24-passenger) and provide training and maintenance procedures with the sale of these unique vessels. There is not a lot of jarring – the seats are padded and you are wearing a PFD. If you are unsure you can always get on the boat and after the first spin the captain does for photos – let the captain know whether or not you feel you can continue the ride. If not, we can bring you back to the office and give you your money back.
They can go at senior rates ($25 instead of $31) – also OK for even 3 year olds – I have had an 11-month old baby on the ride. – it just depends on the child. You can have a five year old that is scared of everything and a 2-yr old who is devil-may-care. Let us know – Thanks Claudine
also, Shannon – if Kenzie goes on the boat and after the first spin the captain takes for photos is unhappy – just let the captain know and we can bring her back to the office (with you/adult) and give monies back.
We can accommodate people in wheelchairs – we just need to know the particulars – if the person has any mobility and if the accompanying party can lift the person out of the wheelchair. Let us know
