Jet Boat Rides and Guided Hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina

Our thrilling 40 minute rides on scenic Lake Fontana, as well as combination trips (hike, picnic, swim and boat ride) encompass everything that’s great about Western North Carolina. Rides are on the hour – starting at 11 am. Suitable for all ages, great for families. Like a jet ski, but on a much larger scale and driven by a professional who “spins” the boat 180 degrees. Our combination trips feature a choice of hike lengths (45-minute, 1.5 hours and extreme hike of 6-8 hours ). All include round-trip transportation from our office, guided hike, lunch, snacks, refreshments, time for swimming in the lake and then the thrilling jet boat ride tops off the adventure.
The “Forney Creek Hike ”
We take you out to the end of the Road to Nowhere and hike through a tunnel (which is way cool!). Through the beautiful forest we walk for about an hour and a half, ending up at picturesque Forney Creek and Lake Fontana. Lunch, snacks and refreshments are provided and time for a swim (the water’s perfect temperature – about 75 degrees). The thrilling jet boat ride tops off the adventure. Allow four hours total time. Trip normally starts at 10 am and you are done by 2 pm. We need reservations at least the day before.
Goldmine Loop – Same logistics as the Forney Creek combo but a shorter 45-minute walk, taking you by the remains of an old homestead and then to the lake for lunch and a swim before the jet boat picks us up for the exciting ride across the lake.

What about a combo without the hike? Ride the jetboat to beautiful Forney Creek in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Time for a brief walk and swim. Drink and snack included. Allow 2 hours. $60 for adults, children (12 and under) $50, and Seniors (60+) and Groups (10+) $55 per person.
Custom Trip to Fontana Dam
Ride the Jetboat all the way to Fontana Dam. Luckily the Captain knows the way across this 10,000-acre lake! Drink, snack, and time for a quick swim included. $450 (boat holds 10 people) 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
Extreme Combo Hike and Jetboat Ride
What an adventure and achievement! Guided hike from Clingman’s Dome (over 6,400 ft.) to Lake Fontana – 6-8 hours walking through the five types of forest. Lunch, snacks, refreshments and time for a swim before the thrilling jet boat ride and return transportation to the office.
Groups – have a group? Family, church groups, camp, social groups, motorbike clubs, car club or any other organization. We can customize trips and add features like picnic lunches, cakes, and more! Whatever occasion (birthday, anniversary, honeymoon) – we can make it SPECIAL!
